CME Credit

Continuing Medical Education from U of U Health

CME credit must be claimed on the day of the event. The CME claim code expires at midnight on that date.

Set up your CME account

To claim credit from the University of Utah CME office, a learner must first setup a CME profile.  To setup your profile, visit the CME website

Option 1: Claim credit from a web browser

CME credit can be claimed by visiting m.checkinhelp.com

You'll need the following info:

  • The "Call-in Number." This is always 801-478-5852.
  • Your cell phone number.
  • The Event ID. This is provided by the event organizer, or found on the flyer publicizing the event.

  • If successful, you will hear “you have been registered for full credit”

Get your CME transcript

After you claim CME credit, the event will be added to your transcript at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Please allow 24 hours for your transcript to be updated.

A transcript differs from a CME certificate, in that it will show all events for which you have been awarded credit. This is an electronic record of your learning. There is no need to print or retain a physical certificate. Certificates are familiar to many healthcare providers, but are now used less frequently, and only for specific types of events.

To view your transcript, visit medicine.utah.edu/cme and click "CME Transcripts."
