University of Utah Health General Surgery providers are now taking provider-to-provider consults for suspected Necrotizing Soft Tissue Infection.

Please note that our acute surgical team has a workflow specific to patients who may require transfer to support their treatment.

• Our Transfer Center staff will direct you to a webpage where wound photos can be submitted to enable us to provide the most thorough consultation.
• Patient images will be requested and shared with the consulting surgical team via PACs.

Once our surgeons have reviewed the patient images and other information, we will call you back (within 30 minutes) to discuss and make a treatment plan.
