Healthcare leaders and administrators are continually learning new ways to enhance the quality and efficiency of their organizations. The Office of Network Development and Telehealth provides multiple avenues for U Health affiliates to develop leadership skills, including:

Health Science Leadership Development Program

The University of Utah hosts the Health Science Leadership Development Program every spring to address real-world challenges for those working in healthcare leadership positions. This project-based program is uniquely designed to help health care professionals drive growth and success in their organizations over six education sessions. In addition to developing knowledge and skills participants receive a certificate, a LinkedIn badge, and CME credits upon completion of the program. Affiliate participants receive an exclusive 20% discount.

M.ED Podcast: Medical Education for the Practicing Clinician

Medical Education for the Practicing Clinician is one of few podcasts that deliver free continuing medical education (CME) to you in 30 minutes or less.

Executive Education for Healthcare Professionals

The University of Utah David Eccles School of Business offers a top-ranked Executive Education program, which includes shorter courses and certificate programs for working professionals. These courses motivate participants to make an immediate impact on their organizations. In addition to executive education classes, the Eccles School of Business offers MBA (Master of Business Administration) and MHA (Master of Healthcare Administration) programs for individuals looking to level up their leadership skills with a degree.

RN to BSN Program

Licensed RNs who hold an Associate Degree in Nursing can earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing online. Nurses who earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree gain valuable leadership and clinical skills, are eligible for more jobs, and earn a higher salary. This program is flexible and affordable. Clinical hours and clinical practicum can be completed at your place of employment.
