U of U Health Website Profile Guidelines

Your CV affects how you appear in searches on U of U Health websites. Providers can find additional resources on PULSE to help you build out your website profile. Maintain relevant information about you, such as these:

Doximity — What to know

Doximity is a physician-only platform used by US News and World Report (USNWR) is used to populate their physician database. Doximity is the largest community of healthcare professionals in the country, many of the profiles are created by the platform using public information. To Edit and update your profile you must first claim it and supply your NPI number - over 80% of U.S. doctors and 50% of all NPs and physician assistants are verified members. Because of the reach of Doximity, USNWR administers its best hospitals survey through the platform. To be survey-eligible, a physician must have claimed their profile and must meet U.S. News' eligibility criteria. Eligible physicians will be contacted through Doximity during the voting period.

The U of U Health Provider Directory

The Provider Directory is a resource for external providers to connect with and collaborate with U of U Health providers and staff. It is designed to support the coordination of care, referrals, patient care, and patient transfer. This directory is not accessible to patients. Learn where your information is shared and how to update and review it as needed.

Resources in the Provider Directory include:

  • Provider phone numbers
  • Contact information for physicians (may include cell phone)
  • Search — browsing by specialty or name
  • Links and contacts for Referral Services
  • Information to connect you with Transfer Center support
